Full 2025 D5 Season Schedule Released


The West Central Division is is looking forward to an action-packed 2025 race season, with six Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series events, five National Opens, the Summit ET Finals and Jr ET Finals, and the Lucas Oil Nationals in Brainerd.


Racing gets under way at World Wide Technology Raceway in St. Louis, Missouri, as D5 heads to a new facility for the LODRS Doubleheader April 30 - May 3rd. This will be a home-division event for the West Central and an out-of-division race for D3, so expect some amazing competition from some of the best racers in the country.


On May 24th, we head up to Tri-State Raceway in Earlville for back-to-back weekends of action, kicking things off with the West Central National Open Series Doubleheader. Competitors in Stock/Super Stock, Super Comp, Super Gas and Super Street will have the opportunity to earn two grade points Memorial Weekend, and then stick around for the LODRS event the following weekend, May 30 - June 1.


After a few weeks off, racing resumes in Julesburg, Colorado with the 2025 Division 5 Jr. ET Finals, presented by Summit. Come out and be a part of the next generation of drag racers battling for the coveted NHRA Wally and having a blast. Don't miss the legendary Julesburg Dragstrip water fight and Racer Appreciation Dinner on Saturday!


The second half of the season kicks into overdrive as we head north for three weekends of high-intensity drag racing, beginning at Brainerd International Raceway August 7-10 for the Lucas Oil Regional Doubleheader. That will be followed by the Lucas Oil Nationals the following weekend, setting the stage for two weeks of fun with friends and family in Brainerd.


Following the National Event, it's just a short drive east over to Rock Falls Raceway in Eau Claire, WI for the D5 National Open Series Doubleheader August 22-24. In addition to featuring all LODRS classes including Comp Eliminator, Top Dragster, and Top Sportsman, the Elite Pro Stock teams will be on-site for an 8-car Shootout.


We close out the 2025 West Central Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series back at Tri-State Raceway September 5-7 with the Regional, where the West Central points champions will be crowned. The Summit ET Finals will take place in Earlville the following weekend, with over 400 of the best racers from across the Division battling for over $100,000 in payouts and contingency. Through the course of the weekend, racers will also enjoy live music, a Practice Shootout, thousands of dollars in giveaways, and a Racer Appreciation Dinner presented by Laris Motorsports Insurance.


Kearney Raceway Park will host the final D5 event of the season on Saturday, October 25th with the annual Cornhusker Classic National Open.


The West Central is excited to get another great season of NHRA Drag Racing under way and continue the proud tradition of great competition in the High & Mighty. We look forward to seeing everyone at the track!
